Creekside Homes, founded in 2004, has built an exceptional reputation. Whether it is a customized home or a commercial project, Jamie McLain strives to deliver the clients’ goals and puts forward the best product possible.

Since founding Creekside Homes, Jamie has designed and built spec, semi-custom and highly customized homes in a wide size and price range in planned communities and on individual sites along the beaches and in inland areas of Horry County.

Most of Jamie’s subcontractors have worked with him since 2004. “Their sweat is what makes me look good,” he says. “I consider them family. We’re just family that travels around building houses. We build together, and we do the best job we can for folks.”

Like many generations of his family, Jamie was born and raised in Horry County. Although the financial crisis that began in 2008 caused many companies to close, Creekside Homes was able to continue to build. The high quality of work and the diversity of the company are among the primary reasons Creekside Homes has remained successful.

Jamie earned a degree in forestry from Horry Georgetown Technical College in 1997 and a bachelor’s degree in forestry from Clemson University in 2000. He returned to his hometown of Conway and was involved in environmental work before founding Creekside Homes and continues his commitment to the environment. According to Jamie, “we’re environmentally conscious and try to recycle everything we can. It’s a shame for it to go into the landfill when it can go back into some other product”.

Living a balanced life is part of what makes Jamie the calm and capable designer and builder his homeowners describe as they spread his reputation and become his best advertisers. Since family is important to Jamie, creating homes and communities that families can enjoy is also important to him. He enjoys spending time with Helen, his wife, and their son, Jase, and attending Trinity United Methodist Church.
