Spend the Day Shopping in Pawley's Island

If you are visiting the Grand Strand area and are looking for a fun filled day of shopping and dining be sure to visit Pawley’s Island. You will find quaint shops and boutiques filled with gifts, jewelry and clothing. Looking for a great restaurant? There are fabulous places to eat as well so plan an entire day to enjoy the laid back, carefree atmosphere that is Pawley’s Island.
The first stop on your Pawley’s Island adventure is breakfast. Try the Pawley’s Island Bakery that is famous for its fresh baked items. For a heartier meal visit Applewood’s House of Pancakes, The Litchfield Restaurant or Eggs Up Grill. If you are looking for a fantastic breakfast buffet, be sure to stop by Coastal Dish, formerly J. R. Websters, at Litchfield-By-The-Sea. Whether it be pancakes, eggs or homemade southern grits, there is something for everyone.
Next up on your list is shopping so let’s start at the famous Hammock Shops Village. Here you will find a mix of 25 shops that range from the original Hammock Shop to kitchen shops, clothing stores, art shops, restaurants and a recently added playground. The Pawley’s Island Mercantile offers everything from candy to clothes, and housewares to flip flops. There is a beach store, wine store, and even a Christmas store. Enjoy dining for lunch or dinner on-site at Bisqit or Southern Comforts Restaurant. Each offer their own homemade southern creations.
Visit the Island Shops next where you can find restaurants, boutiques, and jewelry stores. Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming, Lemon Drops Apparel & Gifts and the Sea Gypsy boutique are just a few shops on the list. Just across the street are The Village Shops where you can find more restaurants and the Island Art Gallery. The Island Art Gallery is home to two dozen working artists from around the area. The gallery also offers workshops for artists of all skill levels.
Time for lunch! There are several great spots in Pawley’s to enjoy lunch. One of the local favorites is Chive Blossom Restaurant and Bar that will offer you a meal you won’t soon forget. The restaurant offers southern- fare, Mediterranean, French and Asian dishes and is also open for dinner. Other recommendations are The Rustic Table or Bistro 317, located near the Island Shops. Each serve southern style favorites for lunch and dinner.
If you are up for more shopping, you can visit Sweetgrass Shops, Harvest Common, The Shops at Oak Lea and the Shops at Christopher’s where you can find fabulous clothing, jewelry, art and gifts.
Ready for dinner? Spend the rest of the evening relaxing at Frank’s or Frank’s Outback where you can enjoy award-winning cuisine and live music out back on the weekends. If you are looking for Italian cuisine, visit Caffe Piccolo where the chef uses the freshest local ingredients to create his fabulous Italian dishes. Perrone’s, Hanser House and Captain John’s Seafood Grille are also great dinner spots in the Pawley’s Island area.
